What's it all about?
The Shropshire Star, along with the awards sponsors, have been searching for the outstanding and selfless individuals and groups across the region who make a difference to the people around them - and usually don’t expect any recognition for what they do.
They may be members of your family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, or someone who you have heard about and found their story inspirational.
What happens next?
Now we have revealed the finalists in each of the nine categories, it’s up to you to get behind the people whose stories inspire you the most and who you think deserve to be publicly recognised. Your votes really do make a difference!
